In East Providence, Hennessey Elementary third grade teacher Emily Rendine got the surprise of a lifetime in front of her students and colleagues: Rhode Island's Milken Educator Award, including a $25,000 unrestricted cash prize. Emily is the first ever recipient of the Milken Award in East Providence! Here's a look at Emily's big day, the first Milken Award notification of the 2022-23 season.
