Emily Snyder Receives Alaska Milken Educator Award

NENANA, AK—What's happening at Nenana City School? Alaska Commissioner of Education Dr. Deena Bishop is here for an all-school assembly. It seems like an ordinary day until Commissioner Bishop introduces a special visitor representing the Milken Family Foundation: Dr. Joshua Barnett, chief executive officer for the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching. Watch as Dr. Barnett presents Snyder with Alaska's sole 2024-25 Milken Educator Award and $25,000. It's a day Nenana City School will remember forever!
