Social studies teacher Ryan James and Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, talk with students in James' classroom.
When James and Milken approached the door, the classroom was quiet and dark; students threw on the lights, jumped up and yelled, "SURPRISE!" as James entered to see the whiteboard covered with congratulatory messages.
