This was a day special education teacher Lisa Moody will never forget! We surprised her with Nebraska's Oscar of Teaching" at a festive assembly at Omaha's Jefferson Elementary, with help from Nebraska Deputy Commissioner of School Improvement and Support Dr. Deborah Frison. "I was born with cerebral palsy, so I've dealt with living in a world that wasn't built for me every day of my life," Lisa said. "What better way to serve than to work with kids with special needs? I can be a role model for them."
