Dion Jones Is a Maryland Milken Educator

The assembly at Fairland Elementary is one that Dion Jones, staff and students will never forget. With the help of Maryland Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mohammed Choudhury, we surprised the third grade teacher with a $25,000 Milken Educator Award, the only one given in Maryland this season. "I could not do this without you," Dion Jones told his class after the surprise Milken Educator Award assembly at Fairland Elementary. "You all are a part of this Award....because where there are no students, there's no Mr. Jones."
