Peaks Mill Elementary is all abuzz this morning. The school has shown outstanding growth over the past two years, and Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin and Commissioner of Education Dr. Wayne Lewis, Jr. are visiting to celebrate students and staff. But when a surprise guest from California steps to the microphone, everyone realizes there's another reason for the special event. Watch as Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, surprises fifth-grade teacher Angie Beavin with Kentucky's 2018-19 Milken Educator Award and $25,000, changing the outstanding educator's life forever.
