Stephanie Hawkins (IL '12) believes that "the pen will prevail," and her students' test scores clearly support that theory. Mark Jordan (IL '89) thought that the "pin" might help, too—the Milken Educator pin, that is—so he surprised Stephanie with one during Teacher Appreciation Week.
Our pin may not boost test scores, but it certainly boosts recognition of outstanding educators like Mark and Stephanie.
