Mark Jordan single handedly coordinated the music department at Chicago's Gompers Fine Art Option School, where he also organized the school's 100-voice chorus and 90-member band. He uses such innovative tools as pie pans and measuring cups to teach his students note values and other musical concepts. Dedicated to his community, Mr. Jordan is engaged in activities ranging from conducting Chicago's All-City Chamber Choir to overseeing Gompers' Social Center and counseling students with academic problems. His enthusiasm and dedication have led him to be described as "the epitome of a young professional family man, deeply involved in promoting educational excellence."
