In February, Milken Educator Awards Founder Lowell Milken visited Louisiana to welcome four outstanding members to the Milken Educator Network: sixth grade math and mentor teacher Christine Bayard at Johnston-Hopkins Elementary School in New Iberia, 11th and 12th grade science teacher Kelly Ryan at Northshore High School in Slidell, sixth grade science teacher Lauren Waguespack at Harry Hurst Middle School in Destrehan, and third grade math and science teacher Derrick Winn at Crestworth Elementary School in Baton Rouge.
