There's a big assembly today at Bend Senior High School, with dignitaries from around Oregon on hand. On the agenda: celebrating the school's involvement in the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation's Character Development Program. But there's more to the presentation, which comes to light when Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, surprises math teacher Andria Lindsey with Oregon's 2017-18 Award and unfurls a huge $25,000 check with her name on it.
