Top Hartford Teacher Tamika Knight Scores 2012–13 CT Milken Educator Award

Hartford fifth-grade teacher Tamika Knight was shocked to learn that she was selected as Connecticut’s Milken Educator Award recipient for the 2012–13 school year. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, presented Tamika with the prestigious honor during an all school assembly at Annie Fisher STEM Magnet School. Joining in the fanfare were Connecticut Education Commissioner Stefan Pryor, Hartford Mayor and Board of Education Member Pedro E. Segarra, Hartford Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Christina M.
