Milken Family Foundation Chairman and Co-Founder Lowell Milken honored Jackie Bonilla, second-grade teacher at Clover Avenue Elementary School in the Los Angeles Unified School District, with a surprise $25,000 Milken Educator Award before her students, peers, local education officials and state dignitaries. Among those joining in the fanfare were Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson and Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent John Deasy.
