<span>Fourth-Grade Teacher Sara Robinson Makes 'Grand' News as Nebraska's 2012 Milken Educator</span>

Taken by complete surprise, Sara Robinson learned that the real reason Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman visited Gates Elementary School in Grand Island was to present her with a 2012 Milken Educator Award. Sara is the first teacher in the nation to receive the honor which comes with an unrestricted $25,000 cash prize. Among the special guests on hand for the celebration were state Commissioner of Education Dr. Roger Breed and Milken Educator Award Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley. After cupping her hands over her mouth in shock, Sara said, "This was a total surprise. I owe it to the wonderful people I work with."
