Jillian Lombardi’s $25,000 Milken Educator Award Surprise

SOUTHBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS—Southbridge Middle School is welcoming Massachusetts Acting Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education Dr. Russell D. Johnston for a special all-school assembly this morning. The reason for the assembly becomes clear when Greg Gallagher, senior program director for the Milken Family Foundation, surprises sixth grade teacher Jillian Lombardi with a 2024-25 Massachusetts Milken Educator Award and $25,000.
