Shawsville Middle School is welcoming a star studded group of guests for a special all-school assembly today. When Stephanie Bishop, vice president of the Milken Educator Awards takes the mic, it’s revealed that today’s event is taking place to honor one incredible educator. When Bishop, with the help of Virginia Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Lisa Coons, surprises seventh grade team leader and science department head Anna Drew with a 2024-25 Milken Educator Award and $25,000, it becomes an unforgettable day.
