Fourth-grade teacher Kelly Sutcliffe catches her breath during a quiet moment after her surprise Milken Educator Award notification. She is known as a teacher who goes above and beyond both in the classroom and outside it. Once, on an outdoor education trip, Sutcliffe carried a special-needs student on her back as the class hiked into a petroglyph site on the Big Island.
