Silvia Miranda (NM '18) Wins PAEMST Award

Silvia Miranda (NM '18) is one of 117 educators to receive the 2022 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). Created in 1983, PAEMST is the highest honor K-12 mathematics and science teachers can receive from the U.S. government.
Until this year, Silvia was a fourth grade teacher at Mesa Elementary in Clovis, New Mexico. She currently serves as a reading specialist for the Clovis Municipal School District.
