Judith Lederman (RI '92) Honored by Stockholm University

Dr. Judith Sweeney Lederman (RI '92) has won the 2018 Svend Pedersen Lecture Award for science education from Stockholm University in Sweden. The award, presented annually, honors researchers who have contributed significantly to mathematics or science education.
Judith was a science teacher in Lincoln, Rhode Island, when she won the state's Milken Educator Award in 1992. She is currently an associate professor and director of teacher education in the Mathematics and Science Education Department at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
