Dr. Steven Paine (WV '95) Elected President of CCSSO

Steve Paine (WV '95), Virginia superintendent of Schools, has been named president-elect of the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO). He was elected to the nine-member board of directors in 2007 and re-elected last year. At the time of his Milken Educator Award, Paine was the principal of Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School in Buckhannon, West Virginia.
