Catherine Payne (HI '95) Joins State Board of Ed

Catherine Payne (HI '95) has been appointed to Hawaii's state Board of Education by Governor David Ige. Currently the chair of Hawaii's Public Charter School Commission and an educational consultant, Catherine was the principal of Governor Wallace Rider Farrington High School in Honolulu when she won her Milken Award in 1995. Pending confirmation by the state Senate, she will begin her term as board member-at-large and chair in July 2018.
