Memoriam All Memoriams

Elementary school principal and prolific author Dorothy Winbush Riley (MI ’94) died February 21, 2012. As an educator, Riley was the principal coach for the Detroit Public Schools (DPS)/Marygrove College Collaborative, a Title I project that delivers professional services to 23 identified Detroit Public Schools sites. In her spare time, she published more than six books, including The Complete Kwanzaa, a 400-page reference guide about the holiday.
