Tami Lunsford Is Delaware's First Milken Educator

Newark Charter students and Mike Milken, president and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, give science teacher Tami Lunsford a hand with her oversized $25,000 Milken Educator Award check. In addition to her work in the classroom, Lunsford coached the Marine Science Club to an eighth-place finish in the National Ocean Sciences Bowl and helped students organize a local Science March on Earth Day, an effort that landed students an interview on National Public Radio.
