Principal Amber Dortch Wins VA 2015-16 Milken Award

Staples and Secretary of Education Anne Holton are visiting Hugo A. Owens Middle School for an important morning assembly. What she doesn't know is that the assembly has actually been arranged to honor her! When Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, names Dortch the recipient of a Virginia 2015-16 Milken Educator Award and a $25,000 cash prize, Dortch realizes this is one assembly she'll remember forever.
