First-grade teacher Julie Wojcicki-Cleave is determined to see her students succeed even though a large majority face challenges like poverty and homelessness. She employs a workshop model in her classroom to provide direction and guidance while students work the curriculum and learn independence, strong study habits and mastery of the content.
