The teacher who is about to win the Milken Educator Award also gets a cash prize. To reveal the amount of the Award, students hold up cards with numbers on them, one at a time. "The person who receives this award receives a financial prize of..." When Milken Family Foundation Communications Vice President Jana Rausch shows the audience the third zero, everyone is shocked: $25,000 is a lot of money!
