LA Milken Educators Welcome Lauren Waguespack

 

 

"Wow! I've read all about your academic success and I know that you have many outstanding teachers here," Lowell Milken, founder of the Milken Educator Awards, tells Harry Hurst Middle School students. He tells the assembly that he believes teachers and principals have the most important job in our society: preparing young people for bright futures. Outstanding educators deserve to be celebrated like top athletes, actors and rock stars, which is why he founded the Milken Award more than 35 years ago. Today, he reveals that one outstanding educator right here at Harry Hurst is going to receive this important national honor!
