K-1 teacher Jessica Barnette gets the surprise of a lifetime when Stephanie Bishop, vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, presents her with North Carolina's 2022 Milken Award and $25,000, making her the first ever recipient in Pender County Schools. December 13 is a date the teacher will always remember: It's her Milken Award anniversary and her birthday!
