Agriculture Teacher Jacob Ball Wins KY Milken Award

Carter G. Woodson Academy is buzzing. Kentucky Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman and Interim Commissioner of Education Robin Fields Kinney are visiting on a tour across the state. When Milken Educator Awards Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley takes the microphone, everyone finds out a career-changing surprise is in store for one dedicated educator. Dr. Foley presents agriculture instructor Jacob Ball with a $25,000 Milken Educator Award and he learns that the assembly was organized to celebrate him. After today's honor, Ball is the 2,941st Milken Educator recognized on the journey to our 3,000th Milken Award announcement. Follow along in the photos below.
