Smith School | Winterport, ME | Apr 12, 2022Smith School is celebrating its Read-A-Thon, and Maine Department of Education Deputy Commissioner Dan Chuhta is visiting to join in the fun. But there's another reason for today's event, which comes to light when Milken Educator Awards Vice President Stephanie Bishop presents third grade teacher Hillary Hoyt with a Milken Educator Award and $25,000. It's a day the teacher will remember forever.
