Heidi Albin, You're a KS Milken Educator!

Students, staff and guests are paying close attention to the presentation at Complete High School Maize, where Kansas Commissioner of Education Dr. Randy Watson is visiting to talk about "Kansans Can," the state's new vision for education. But when Watson introduces Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, it turns out that "Kansans Can" do another very important thing: keep a secret! The assembly is shocked when Foley names science teacher Heidi Albin the winner of Kansas' 2017-18 Milken Educator Award and $25,000—with Albin the most surprised of all.
