Grant Hegstad Joins Iowa Milken Educators

At MOC-Floyd Valley High School in Orange City, Assistant Principal and Extended Career Experiences (ECE) Coordinator Grant Hegstad prepares students for future careers, but no one could have prepared him for today's monumental events. When Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, presents Hegstad with Iowa's sole 2023-24 Milken Award and $25,000, no one is more surprised than the educator himself. Iowa Department of Education Director McKenzie Snow and MOC-Floyd Valley Community School District Superintendent Russ Adams (IA '03) joined in the celebration.
