Eva Irwin Joins VA Milken Educators

Alexandria City High School is welcoming a bevy of special guests for an assembly celebrating the school's success. But when Lowell Milken, founder of the Milken Educator Awards takes the stage, it's revealed that today's event includes a national honor for one outstanding educator. When Milken presents English and language arts teacher Eva Irwin with a 2023-24 Milken Educator Award and $25,000, it becomes an unforgettable day! Virginia Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Lisa Coons joined Lowell to congratulate and recognize Irwin. She is the 2,985th Milken Educator to join the Network on the journey to the milestone 3,000th Milken Award announcement and the first-ever recipient in Alexandria City Public Schools.
