Ashley Davis Makes History As The 3,000th Milken Educator Award Recipient

 

 

Milken Educator Awards Founder Lowell Milken tells the assembly that he believes teachers have the most important job in the country: inspiring young minds. He explains that he founded the Milken Educator Awards almost 40 years ago to inspire educators, students and entire communities to “Celebrate, Elevate and Activate” the teaching profession and encourage young, capable people to pursue education as a career.

He reveals that today will be a Milken Milestone nearly 40 years in the making: one outstanding educator here at Central Intermediate School is going to receive this national honor and make history as the 3,000th Milken Educator Award recipient!
