Ariel Horton Joins D.C. Milken Educators

 

Assistant Principal and math coach Ariel Horton catches her breath after her surprise Milken Educator Award notification. Horton is a standout leader at Noyes Elementary, where she blends her passion for teaching with a commitment to student success. From leading weekly professional development meetings and offering actionable feedback, to planning data-driven lessons, she empowers her colleagues to thrive. Horton's hands-on approach extends beyond the classroom—she's organized events like a “Haunted Math House,” partnered with the Girl Scouts to bring the first Brownie/Daisy troop to Noyes, and spearheaded a toy drive to ensure every student has access to STEM-based toys.
