"In our country we don't do enough to recognize and honor our talented teachers," says Lowell Milken, chairman of the Milken Family Foundation, as he explains the purpose of his visit: to honor a teacher at Galtier Magnet Elementary School with a Milken Educator Award. "This Award says in a very public way that greatness in education should be recognized."
