Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, tells the assembly that the educator who is about to win the Milken Educator Award gets more than recognition: He or she will also take home a cash prize. But how much? Students hold up cards spelling out the amount of the award, digit by digit. Bonnie Somers, MFF's senior vice president of communications, holds up the final zero, bringing the total to a whopping $25,000!
