Chatham Central High School accepts his 2015-16 Milken Educator Award flanked by North Carolina Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. June Atkinson (left) and Milken Educator Awards Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley. Patin, who grew up as one of 10 children on a dairy farm, thanks his parents for teaching him the value of hard work: "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard," he advises. He also invites the crowded auditorium to meet him later at Taco Bell: "It's on me!"
