New York City Department of Education Chancellor Dennis M. Walcott congratulates reading and ELA teacher Rafal Olechowski (NY '11) on his new honor. Olechowski would later say that he thought the whole thing might be a prank -- until he realized that he was standing next to the Chancellor. He decided it couldn’t be a prank if the Chancellor was actually there and part of the announcement.
