Vee Wilson is principal at Grant Bowler Elementary School in the Clark County School District. A believer in school-community cooperation, he has promoted partnerships with the local utility company and police department and established a Second Language Parent Advisory Board. Mr. Wilson also instituted a program in which high school students interact regularly with kindergartners. In 1990, the school was named an "A+ School" by the National Education Association, and received the National Council of Teachers of English award for at-risk prevention. Also in 1990, Mr. Wilson was inducted into the Clark County School District Excellence in the Education Hall of Fame and received the district's Excellence in Education Award.
