"I have been most rewarded by the fact that many of my former students, including one of my daughters, have gone on to become outstanding educators," says Marlin Lippert, principal of Northside Elementary School in Mechanicsburg. Mr. Lippert is "driven to find ways to accommodate the vastly differing instructional needs inherent in any group of students." That his school recently acquired a computer network connecting classrooms in his school to classrooms at five other elementary schools in his area is particularly gratifying. This acquisition allows students to use an "integrated learning system that will eventually include most subject areas." Mr. Lippert has developed a wide range of learning and social activities that involve parents and other family members in the school.
