Manny Zaldivar (CT '16): A Note Worth Framing

Some notes can make even the worst day better. Like this one, from a first-grader at Smalley Academy in New Britain, Connecticut, to teacher Manny Zaldivar (CT '16).

"Para: Zaldivar," it reads. "Sin Maestros no hay Educacion / sin educacion no hay esperanza / sin esperanza no hay nada. Gracias por ser mi maestro."

Manny translated it for us: 

To Mr. Zaldivar: Without teachers, there is no education. Without education, there is no hope. Without hope, there is nothing. Thank you for being my teacher.

"I have gotten many notes," says Manny. "But this one from today is very special." We have to agree.
