Valerie Baalerud Joins AK Milken Educators in Anchorage

 

 

Emotions bubbling over, Valerie Baalerud hugs a colleague at her surprise Milken Educator Award notification. Baalerud, who teaches both AP and regular history classes, is known to work tirelessly to ensure the success of all students, even the neediest. Her AP World History students score at the national average on the AP exam, and her overall student failure rate is zero.
