Back in her classroom, third-grade math and science teacher Tiffany Tynes Curry talks with Ohio Superintendent of Public Instruction Paolo DeMaria about her instructional practices. For math, Tynes Curry's students develop their own mathematical theories to solve problems, work with manipulatives, cogently explain their mathematical reasoning, present their methodologies to the class, and both question and are questioned by their peers.
