Therese Shain Joins MO Milken Educators

 

 

Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, congratulates Therese Shain on her Milken Educator Award. "To quote Ralph Waldo Emerson, 'The secret in education is respecting the student,' " says Milken. "Therese Shain is living this truth by helping students with challenges craft their own unique and highly effective paths to learning. We are proud to welcome her as a Milken Educator." Milken has advice for Bayless students, too: "Think about becoming an educator yourself," he says. "Over the years, there are many students who have seen the Award presented and gone on to become teachers themselves. Some of them even became Milken Educators."
