Physics teacher Ryan Lafferty makes his way to the front of the International School gymnasium to accept his surprise Milken Educator Award as students, staff and guests cheer loudly. Known at the school as a natural leader, Lafferty guides struggling students in other classrooms and helps colleagues meet students’ needs. Lafferty's colleagues showed him their ultimate respect and affection when the entire staff dressed up as Lafferty for Halloween.
