Reina Cruz, You're a CO Milken Educator

 

Social studies teacher Reina Cruz catches her breath after her Milken Educator Award surprise. As the equity senior team lead for English and social studies, Reina is working to ensure that the school’s curriculum includes a wide range of perspectives and sources. She aspires to lead system-level change, and her approach to equity begins with listening and learning—Reina plans to interview every Hispanic student at NHS about their educational experiences.
