STEM Star Nichole Anderson Joins CA Milken Educators

Hamilton Elementary is a "Leader In Me" school, and Keric Ashley, deputy superintendent for the District, School, and Innovation Branch of the California Department of Education, is celebrating Hamilton's focus on student leadership in front of a standing-room-only assembly. But there's something else going on ... and it involves an unexpected national honor for one outstanding educator! When Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, surprises computer lab teacher Nichole Anderson with California's 2018-19 Milken Educator Award and $25,000, the day becomes one the teacher will never forget.
