The teacher who is about to receive the Milken Educator Award also gets a cash prize. How much? One digit at a time, students hold up cards representing the amount of the Award. When Rhode Island Commissioner of Education Dr. Ken Wagner brings in the final zero, the room starts to hum: That makes $25,000!
