Michael Tapee Wins First Milken Award of 2023-24 Season

It's the surprise of a lifetime for one Hellstern Hero! When Lowell Milken, founder of the Milken Educator Awards, names Michael Tapee the first 2023-24 Milken Educator winner and presents him with $25,000, the math and computer science teacher's career is changed forever. Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Department of Education Secretary Jacob Oliva joined Lowell Milken, along with proud students, colleagues and guests, to celebrate Mr. Tapee. Today launches a milestone season of recognizing outstanding educators and an exciting path to the announcement of the 3,000th Milken Educator.
