Lindsay Frevert Is a New Jersey Milken Educator

 

 

Van Derveer students crowd in for a hug with second-grade teacher Lindsay Frevert as they celebrate at her surprise Milken Educator Award notification. Frevert knows what each child needs and her students make great strides. Last year, 67% of the students in her class started out reading below grade level; by January, 78% were reading at or above grade level, climbing to 95% by the end of the school year.
